Ahhhh! first day of lifeguarding!

ok so i did lessons first, that was just like yesterday, easy and awkward, cuz im bad with children, except for the level 1's they younger kids, like 6 or 7..? im not really sure, but they are at the age where elders are the law and you listen! the only time they break the rules are when they forget, and lets be honest they forget alot (i mean who wouldnt if with a brain that big? haha JK :)) but mostly they are cute and enthusiastic, and if they arent enthusiastic, they are scared to do do what they are instructed, like today they had to go under, and this cute little red head refued, haha she would plug her nose and go under far enough for only her mouth to be submerged, but refused to got any further, and when she did she was so proud of herself, haha it was so cute. unfortunately the level 3's are at the age where they try and impress the adults by being all bad ass and rebelious.haha its really annoying and i just wanna punch em in the face and give them a ritalin. these kids are around 9, and its only the boys that are disruptive class members, the girl, a cute little asian who reminds me of stitch, i mean lilo hahah :) she trys really hard to impress us by doing everything right.

ok so then i had a break from 12-1 and then i had another break until 1:20, and it was finally my turn to have my first shift. it was really cold, so there were only about 10 kids, which means there only needs to be 2 life guards, so i was a little nervous about that, but it was alright. but then half way through (about 10 minutes) i realised i forgot my whistle!!! D: so i paniced a little, but i remembered that there was only 2 life guardsso i would go on break after this shift, and not really need to use it (unless someone drowned) but then more kids showed up, so we had to have all 4 life guards on duty, which also means i am no longer going on break, im moving on to the next station. D: that means that i will need my whistle, so that i can blow it when it isbreak time. so then i paniced more D: but then the next life guard came, and took my spot, and instead of going straight to the next station, i got my whistle first (: so then i was safe. and thats about as eventful as it gets.

except later we went back to 2 life guards, and i was in an area where there were only 4 girls about 12 or 13 years old. and i was watching them, and theyd swim around and then stop, and then move to a new spot and do this a couple times, and i would watch the whole time, so that if they drowned, i would be there to save them. and then i hear them whispering, so naturally i listen, and one girl says "the life guard keeps watching us!" really!?!? i mean it is my job...

and then there were more lessons.

and cleaning D:girls are so gross, afterthe pool closed they clean, and me being the youngest "biddy" (the cute nickname the vetran lifeguards gave the rookie lifeguards) i had to clean the toilets, pick hair and other things from the drain, empty the little boxes that girls put their... lady things in... if you know what i mean. ugh it was so sick! but then we left a little early, and i went home and painted with water colours :)

it was a fun day.

oh yeah and i ate alot of junk food:

2 sandwhich bags filled with chips...did i already list this? i feel like i did. oreos, a poptart and icecream treats! it was all bad for me but tasted good!

sorry for yet another long post, there probably wont be another extensively long one any time soon.
